The Lettuce

My new quarantine hobby of keeping plants on my home office windowsill for company has taught me a few things. Oneโ€™s wellbeing has direct correlation to the needs being met by their environment. Vulnerability

Measurements

The holidays have come and gone, hopefully a time of peace and contentment for you and your loved ones. But the last (and first) holiday to come and go every year is the turning of the calendar. I have spent the last half of this year in a tattoo shop. Those that know me would know that I am currently in the process of finishing a large piece on my back: a plague doctor (ironic, though not intended) to symbolize courage and kindness. On fish.

My father was a fisherman. Taking two little girls with him to the lake was sure to be quite the ordeal. Our trips were always underlined with the evergreen statement: “You need to be quiet or you’ll scare all the fish away.” I have come to a much better understanding of both the sport andโ€ฆ
